Winter Storm is Raging! 4:45pm CST Update

Updated Snow Amount Forecast for the Middle Atlantic Region

Additional Freezing Rain Starting at 7pm EST

NWS Winter Weather Impacts Map
While I have quite a few issues with this winter storm impacts product (it underestimates extensive duration power outages like the ones in southeast Missouri right now) and six inches of snow in blizzard conditions (in progress in part of Kansas south of the red area), I want to use it to point out the "extreme impacts" forecast over southwest Indiana and from Louisville and to the southwest in Kentucky. Power outages may cause severe impacts. While on the subject of impacts, all flights to/from Kansas City International Airport are cancelled for the rest of the day.
