12:30pm PST: Critical Fire Risk to Return to Los Angeles As the Day Progresses
At 12:3pm PST, the Palisades Fire is about the reach the top of Mt Wilson where many millions of dollars of communication equipment is located, include the antennae of each of the primary television stations that serve Los Angeles.

While winds are light and variable in the L.A. Basin this morning. However, winds are forecast to increase this afternoon and conditions are forecast by the NWS to reach "critical" levels in the red area.
I will update again this afternoon.
Addition: Unfortunately, the usual suspects are claiming the fires are due to global warming. One of the contentions made is that climate change has caused Los Angeles to become drier. That isn't true! Over time, Los Angeles is getting wetter. Official NOAA data below:
Please note that the trend is an additional one-tenth inch more rain per decade. As there were no thunderstorms, the fires were man-made (I don't know whether accidental or intentional) so climate had nothing to do with starting these fires.
