The East Coast Severe Weather Threat is Over
Midnight: The East Coast Threat for Tornadoes and Severe Thunderstorms Has Ended 3:50pm. Tornado watch for the Middle Atlantic Region. 2:30pm Tornadoes are also forecast in the South. 2:20pm. A couple of tornadoes, hail and wind gusts to 65 mph are possible with these storms. This includes NYC and Philadelphia. 1:05pm. The tornado risk has been extended northward into New York. The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes. Remember: if a tornado warning is issued, go to your basement and get under heavy furniture like a pool table. Of, if your basement is finished, get into the bathroom. Go ahead an put a couple of water bottles and, if appropriate, diapers in your shelter area. Wear shoes. If you don't have a basement or safe room, go to the lowest floor and get into a bath or closet in the middle of your home. Children should be put in the bathtub. I'll update later today.
Lots of Federal employees have left and are retiring. Most Federal employees live paycheck to paycheck and are not deep state. After decades of shut downs, getting hate calls, being spit on, lied to and hated why the hell would you want to be a federal employee. Get a clue Mike. Don’t worry though, Elon will turn these positions over to contractors. Oh yea, contractors will cost tax payers 2, if not 3 times more. I know I had to deal with this since Reagan. It’s not reducing the cost of the Federal government, it increasing it significantly. So shit on them all you want, get ready to pay more. It’s bullshit and you know it.
ReplyDeleteThe above represents the attitude of many government workers. As of this moment, a blank forecast has been up for 1 hour and 30 minutes. A week ago this afternoon, lives could have been lost in Scotts Valley, California, when the NWS failed to warn of an obvious tornado.
DeleteRather than gripe, I simply don't understand why these unhappy people don't go to work in the private sector rather than make excuses over the too-often poor quality of work.
