"In an Emergency, One Redneck is Worth Ten PhD's"

-- The Appalachian Catastrophe Continues --
Local Government Blocks Man From Placing an
RV on His Own Land Because of 'Zoning'

Please listen to the brief interview above with Shawn Hendricks where he talks about the continuing need in the southern Appalachians. He, like so many in the area, mentions that FEMA is nowhere to be found and that ridiculous local regulations are also hampering the recovery effort. I promise: the interview is well worth your time. It it Shawn who made the observation that is the title of this piece.

The red link also takes you to Operation Shelter (tweet below). Below, from Friday, is a brief tweet about their latest work. Please consider a donation!! You will also find links to other worthy groups at the end of this piece.

Please, please watch the entire video

As his FEMA fails at every level....
I seriously doubt the Biden's made an appropriate donation to the area. Given his press operation, we'd hear about it if he had.

We also learned the name of at least one of the commissioners who has been blocking the homes built and donated by the Amish because they didn't "meet code" and they didn't receive the proper permits. This also includes the account of the RV being blocked. I am not posting her name because the one individual is not the point: government not only isn't helping, it is blocking those who are. For those who doubt that government is blocking tiny homes and trailers, and I have received comments from people who can't believe that is occurring, you can see the first hand accounts here

As the catastrophe continues, I find myself more and more thinking of President Reagan's words:
"A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have."

The government's minions continue their mocking of the First Amendment. Shawn has been banned from TikTok.
You can donate an RV here

Samaritan's Purse, which has been doing outstanding work, is here

They, along with Operation Shelter (link above), seem to be doing the best work that is having the most immediate benefit.
