Tornado Watch in Effect Until 8am Thursday
 

Dangerous "High Risk" of Flash Flooding Thursday and Thursday Night
 
The vast majority of flash flood deaths occur in "high risk" areas, even though only about 4% of days have high risk forecasts. 

Of the flash flood deaths, the major involve people who are safe and then drive or walk into a flooded area. Remember:
Turn Around, Don't Drown!!

Heavy rain from the remains of Debby continue and are forecast for the next seven days.
Flooding Forecast

The major flood risk will continue in the Southeast with a serious flood risk developing from Pennsylvania to New England. 

Tornado Risk
There is a low risk of tornadoes in North Carolina the rest of today.

However, there is a significant risk of tornadoes on Thursday in the brown area.
