4:10pm CDT Friday Update on Beryl

It seems the National Hurricane Center's (NHC) forecast has pretty much fallen in line with the forecast we issued about 90 minutes ago (below).

The pink is the area of the new Hurricane Watch in Texas.  The NHC's intensity forecast has been raised to 90 mph at landfall which is about the same as ours. While the Hurricane Watch does not extend to Houston and Galveston, they are not completely out of the woods.

The pink area is a storm surge watch. As the storm moves off Yucatan, we should be able to get a more precise picture of the storm surge threat.
I will update this forecast in the evening.
