5pm Update: Today's Tornado Risk

Below is a map of severe thunderstorm watches that extend from Ann Arbor to
western Kansas; for giant hail and winds of 70 mph or more. 
In Kansas, 4" hail and wind gusts to 85 mph are forecast.

The brown area has a significant risk of tornadoes. 


The hatched area is where wind gusts of 75 mph or stronger are forecast to occur. The red area has an enhanced risk and the yellow are has a significant risk.

Remember: with winds this strong, power outages and tree damage is possible.
