3-Day and 7-Day Rainfall to 11am Today

Above is the 3-day rainfall across the winter wheat belt.

Below is the 7-day rainfall along with the departure from average rainfall as of 7am Monday.

The departure from normal rainfall maps show many wheat areas were quite dry this past week with the exception of a large area of northeast New Mexico.
We are getting into the wettest time of the year in the central Great Plains. Unless we get into a rainy period with significantly above normal rainfall -- which does not appear likely -- the drought is only going to enlarge.
