Winter Storm Warnings

The top map is the NWS's winter weather warnings.
Color codes:
  • Pink = winter storm warning.
  • Purple = winter weather advisory (lesser condition)
  • Dark blue = winter storm watch.
  • Greens are river flood warnings.
If it appears probable the heavier amounts will extend into northeast Oklahoma and the Ozarks, the warnings will be extended in that direction.

After determining the most likely path of the features in the upper atmosphere, I think this forecast path for the snow. However, amounts are over-forecast in some areas and it may be that there is little snowfall at all between Oklahoma City and the Ozarks. But, I am confident that some snow will accumulate in the Ozark Plateau.
