  • Dark green = winter storm watch
  • Gold/tan = high wind warning
  • Pale brown are special weather statements and are not of special concern.
The blizzard is underway.
Blue is snow with the darker shades of blue equating to heavier rates of snowfall. The snow includes Interstates 70, 80, 29 and 135 from Newton to Salina.  The snow is gradually spreading east northeast.

The area from Great Bend south to Oklahoma is what meteorologists call the "dry slot." It will spread east and stop the rain around Wichita and northern Oklahoma.

Nebraska and Kansas road conditions are below. Purple indicates the road is snow covered.

The maps below are additional snowfall beginning at 9am.

There will be blowing and drifting snow throughout these areas with blizzard conditions in the High Plains.
