UPDATED: A Tropical Cloud Cluster to Watch

As of 2pm EDT, there is a cluster of clouds in the northeast Gulf of Mexico. The center is near the "L" (for "low pressure").
The National Hurricane Center is sending out a Hurricane Hunter aircraft this afternoon to investigate the low pressure system to see if it needs to be upgraded to a tropical depression or tropical storm.

Note at 3:45pm EDT: my guess is that this will be upgraded based on the data coming back from the Hurricane Hunters. I will update, either way, once we hear from the National Hurricane Center

Note at 4:24pm EDT: The Hurricane Center will begin issuing advisories on this storm shortly.
