Heads Up: Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee

With 600,000+ people without power in Texas, we may have another highly damaging wind event in the gold-colored counties. Wind gusts of 70+ mph may occur in places. The ground is wet, so trees will easily topple over. Extensive power failures are likely.

Now is the time to prepare!

In addition, the deep purple in eastern West Virginia and far west Maryland is an ice storm warning. Greens mean flood watch. Browns are wind advisories.
