Final Travel Forecast for Monday and Monday Evening

As tomorrow is forecasted by the travel industry to be the single biggest travel day of the 2022-2023 Christmas - New Year's period, I have been giving it extra coverage.

Below are forecast maps.

Forecast for 9am CST
Note: I believe there will be more snow in the Colorado mountains and near Denver at this time than depicted on the map. Reminder: blue is forecast snow, purple is forecasted freezing rain or sleet.

Forecast for 6pm CST

Forecast for 11:59pm CST
Maps by PolarWx

A reminder that tornadoes and severe thunderstorms are forecasted to occur tomorrow afternoon and night in parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. I will provide additional coverage of that threat tomorrow.

Major hub airports most likely to have issues? Denver, Dallas, Minneapolis (evening), San Francisco (afternoon and evening).

However, this will be the last general travel forecast.

Be sure and allow plenty of extra time. Hope it has been a great holiday for you!
