New England's Global Warming Hypocrisy
Having spoken to a number of New Englanders about global warming -- one who refused to have lunch with me because I am not sufficiently dedicated to the global warming cause -- it doesn't surprise me that they are completely unwilling to be inconvenienced or pay a modest sum of money to abate their prized issue.
They think it is great that we are covering the Great Plains with highly ineffective wind turbines but they won't allow a power line to bring huge amounts of clean hydroelectric power to the region. The NYT article is here.
As we've discussed on several occasions: the global warming alarmists do not want solve the problem. They want the political issue and they wish to feel morally superior to others.
And, so there is no misunderstanding, I do want to decarbonize energy; with hydro and nuclear being, by far, the best ways to do it.
