More Global Warming Hypocrisy - College Football Style
USC football coach, Lincoln Riley, arriving in Los Angeles Monday |
College athletics uses private jets more often than I use my car: it is routine in that industry. And, it isn't just the athletics department, many university administrators use them, too. There is nothing surprising about USC sending a private jet to Oklahoma to pick up their new football coach.
So, it is ironic to see -- in less than the space of two months -- all of the PR from USC about global warming when their school is among the worst offenders when it comes to the size of their carbon footprints.
This is hardly unique to USC. It is just the hypocrisy that actually cutting carbon footprints always seems to be the job of someone else except those proselytizing about it.
