UPDATE: Tornado Watch In Effect

Update: NWS issued a tornado watch at 8:20pm.
It is in effect until 2am.

-- original posting --
There are two areas of concern for major weather problems overnight:
  • The red area is where I am concerned about tornadoes, flash flooding, large hail of 2" in diameter or greater (especially in Iowa) and for damaging thunderstorm winds with some gusts above 70 mph. Some trees could be toppled and some areas could have power failures.
  • The orange area is where I am concerned about large hail (>1.5") and wind gusts above 60 mph.
The severe thunderstorms will commence after 8pm.

Please plan accordingly.
