Central Plains: Damaging Wind Threat - UPDATED

Wind gusts to 80 mph or stronger are possible, especially in the orange area. Winds of that speed are strong enough to topple trees and cause power failures.

Please prepare accordingly as some power failures may last more than 24 hours.

As of 10:33am, the line of thunderstorms in southeast Nebraska is reorganizing and will begin to accelerate to the south as it strengthens after 11a.
The leading edge of the storms as of noon to 12:15pm is depicted by the blue line. As we get into the early afternoon the storms are forecasted to rapidly increase in intensity with some large hail and widespread damaging winds.
