1am Saturday: Thoughts on the Hurricane Threat

Increasingly, it appears Laura (the tropical storm in the Atlantic, see below) will be the primary storm and the one to really watch. The area from around Pensacola to Galveston really needs to monitor future forecasts In the era of COVID, it may take longer than average to make adequate preparations.

At 1am CDT, Tropical Storm Laura has a central pressure of 1008mb with winds of 45 mph. I expect the storm to intensify the rest of the night.
