11pm Sunday Hurricane Update

Marco has dropped down to tropical storm strength. It is still headed for the Louisiana coast but I now do not believe it will be a major wind threat. However, people in the warning area should stay indoors until the storm has passed. Flooding may be an issue in southern Louisiana.

My forecast pertaining to Laura has not changed. I still believe it will be a major hurricane at landfall which should occur on the Louisiana or upper Texas coast.
