Wireless Emergency Alerts: Then Again
In addition to the reliability issues I cite below, I have other objections to the Presidential WEA messages under the current rules:

ADDITION: More of these are showing up in my Twitter feed.
And, as I have pointed out over and over:
- It is my phone. I have a 4th Amendment objection to a government official being able to commandeer it.
- I have a 1st Amendment objection to not being able to screen out Presidential messages. Again, it is my phone.
There is also the risk of politicizing the warning system [when I posted this, I didn't know it had already come to pass]: "President John Jones wants you to know a tornado is approaching..."
All of the above stated, I believe the Tweet below may be taking things a bit too far.
