There It Is

That is Hurricane Florence in all her infamy. Maximum winds are 110 mph. Damage (toppled trees) is being reported already on the Outer Banks and the storm surge is already over at least one road.

While some conditions favor additional strengthening, the radar presentation shows some dry air has gotten into the south side of the eye. So, I don't think the maximum wind speeds will change much from 110 mph. The Doppler wind data indicate the diameter of hurricane strength winds is very large.
