Two Thought Leader Articles By Wichita Authors
There are a lot of very smart people who live in Wichita and I would like to introduce you to two of them who wrote interesting columns this past week.
Sonia Greteman
Sonia is the entrepreneur who started Greteman Group, an extremely successful advertising agency here that handles the marketing communications for some of the largest aviation companies in the world. She has a wonderful piece that discusses the use of color.
Al Higdon
Remember when Pete and Trudy flew off to Wichita in the final episode (photo above)? They were headed here to plot restart their lives and to run the marketing for Lear Jet, one of Wichita's iconic companies. Many believe that character was based on Al Higdon. If you are interested in the history of aviation, he has written a series on his history in aviation. The first edition is here.
Both are well worth your time.
And, speaking of Wichita aviation, the 10,000th 737 fuselage rolled off the assembly line at Spirit Aerosystems Thursday.
The fuselages and related parts are transported to Boeing's plant in Renton, Washington, for final assembly via the BNSF Railway.
The 737, the most popular airliner in the world -- made in Wichita since 1966.
