Rainfall Update as of 12:30pm Wednesday

Rainfall amounts for the 24 hours ending at 11am CDT. Many rivers remain in flood. A major levee break occurred this morning in eastern Arkansas. It was on the Black River at Pocahontas.

The St. Louis radar was of 12:30pm with light to moderate rain falling across most of the flood-plagued region.

Update: 12:55pm. Excerpt from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

"You re going to have to decide what side of the [Meramec] river you want to be on before you go to bed tonight because you're not going to be able to go back and forth."
