Spectacular Video of Flint Hills Fires
The Flint Hills of Kansas are the last stand of unbroken prairie in North America. Part of what makes them so spectacular is the lack of trees or other structures. That is intention as their "best use" is cattle grazing.
So, to keep the red cedar and other invasive species out, the Hills are burned in a controlled manner every spring. Our friend Farmer Derek has put together some rather spectacular video and set it to music. I believe you'll really enjoy it.
