24-Hour Rainfall Map

As promised, here is the 24-hour rainfall map ending at 7am this morning. Scroll down for the 3-day map with preliminary amounts. Note there is a differing color scheme between one day and 3-day maps.

The heaviest rains were around Wichita and from Lafayette Co., Missouri along the Missouri River counties to around Columbia and Boone Co. See warning for major flooding on the Blackwater River below.
Given that Wichita gets about 33 inches of rain a year, the figures below are amazing. They are from the NWS office at Wichita's Eisenhower National Airport.
The second area of heavier rains is in Missouri.
