Significant Earthquake Just Occurred in Kansas and Oklahoma

ORIGINAL POSTING:

The earthquake was felt at The Smith House in northeast Wichita at 10:28pm. It was felt at about the same time in north Norman, Oklahoma. The Wichita NWS at Eisenhower National Airport felt it at 10:30pm.

I'm guessing that it was at least a 4 to be that strong over this large a geographic area.

  1. This was a little different feeling on the north side of Hutchinson. Did feel 2 quakes back to back, but this time the ceiling fans didn't move, and instead of shaking seemed like a more east-west movement. Our son said that is what it felt like in his bed also.
