Complete California Rainfall Update

Below is the forecast rainfall from the National Weather Service plotted over a map of California rivers.
A couple of spots are forecast to receive more than six inches. Ironically, there is a flash flood watch for the foothills of the Sierra (green, below) and a winter storm warning for heavy snow over the mountains (pink).

Below is a map of the rainfall the last seven days.

In last week's drought update I said I would post this week's updated information as to how much rain it would take, in addition to normal, to break the drought. In some areas, in spite of the rain, the amount went up.
The forecast rainfall the next five days will help -- but much more is needed. The European computer model indicates conditions generally favorable for additional California rains from December 7 to 16.
