Another Major National Weather Service Outage in Progress

This is a story that is becoming far too common. For the second time in two weeks, the National Weather Service currently has another major outage. It began around 6:15 CST.
This is the NWS's single most important communications channel. For some organizations, this is their only source of meteorological information.

Fortunately, AccuWeather Enterprise Solutions invests in multiple redundancies. We are not affected and our clients are receiving their products as normal.

I shutter to think what would be occurring if there were tornadoes in progress where seconds count given the number of other organizations that depend on the NWS satellite feed.

GOOD NEWS: 7:51PM, the data has started flowing again.
