Odile Update

Mexico's Cabo San Lucas radar at 7:46pm CDT.
The eye of Category 3 Hurricane Odile continues to move right toward the south tip of Baja California where the resort city of Cabo San Lucas is located. The storm is forecast to strengthen slightly during the night with 135 mph winds when it makes landfall. A number of the beachfront hotels may also be flooded due to the storm surge.

The 6:30pm satellite image shows the eye as a dark spot surrounded by the white swirl of clouds. The orange line is the forecast path.
It has been moving a bit to the east of the official forecast (orange line).

If it moves on or just east of the official path overnight, it should cause major damage in the city and to the beachfront resorts.
