History of Color, Animated Radar
Moments ago, I captured this image of a thunderstorm moving into Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
How did I know it was moving into Medicine Lodge? Because I time-lapsed the radar and it showed northeast movement. We take animated, color radar for granted these days. I wrote a piece on the subject of how this came to be at the suggested of an Answers.com editor. You can read how the weather became colorized, here.
