The Drought is Ending
The Smith House had another 1.62 inches up to 7:30am and it is still raining. At Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport, it is the 4th wettest July ever. We could easily move up to #2 before the month is out.

But, here is the problem -- too much of a good thing. Flood watches are out. This is the five-day rainfall amount forecast.

If only we could bring some more of that rain down here to TX, we still need it.

ReplyDeleteI am in Fort Worth. The recent rains here in North Texas have certainly helped a lot, but we could still use a few more days of good soaking rain to fully break the drought here. Of course with this being the end of July going into August, I shouldn't complain too much, since the rain we received last week and earlier this month is unusual for this time of year in Texas in the first place.
