But, Sometimes a Nation With Lousy Judgment

A young girl was arrested and charged with a felony for the type of the thing boys (at least when I was in junior and senior high) did all the time: Put two chemicals together and see what happened. The principal stuck up for her.
No damage, no injury, just overzealous law enforcement. Not saying the girl shouldn't have been reprimanded. But, how are we doing to encourage young people -- especially women -- to go into science if this happens every time one gets curious?
