Joplin Event Scheduled

When the Sirens Were Silent will roll off the presses this week. Even after months of work, it doesn't seem "real" to an author until he or she holds the book in his or her hands. The whole purpose of this book is to save lives. In the back are three perforated pages with the latest versions of tornado safety rules for home, school, and office.

We now have our Joplin event scheduled: It will be at the Joplin Public Library, 300 S. Main, at 7 p.m. on  Thursday, May 17.

These events are already scheduled:

  • Greensburg, 10:30am, May 5
  • Kansas City Main Library, 6pm, May 9
  • Watermark Books, Wichita, 7pm, May 10

We are working on additional appearances. Hope you'll join us.

  1. Mike,

I am not seeing the date for the Joplin signing? Did I overlook it on your post?

Also, how much is it selling for?

    1. Why did you use this particular title? After all, the sirens DID go off twice, so the title is not accurate -- just to tweak interest? Or???

  6. Actually, the title IS accurate as you'll agree when the read the book with its story of the tornado in its entirety.
