First Major Tornado Threat of 2012


The map above, from the NWS's Storm Prediction Center, outlines the areas where tornadoes are possible today and tonight. The hatched area is where strong tornadoes (i.e., ≥F-2 intensity) are most likely to form.

If you live in these areas, please pay attention to the weather later today. 


I say later today because nothing is occurring now or will occur in the next few hours. AccuWeather regional radar shows nothing ominous as of 7:40am CST.  I'll have some updated posts later today.
