Why You Don't Want to Be in a Car During a Flash Flood or Tsunami



Statistically, the peak time of year for flash floods in the United States is the latter half of summer and early autumn. You have often heard the National Weather Service exhortation, "Turn Around, Don't Drown."

Here is a video taken from inside an automobile during the March, 2011, tsunami in Japan that illustrates why you do not want to be inside your car in a flash flood or tsunami.  Be sure and play it to the end.
