Tornado Outbreak and Major Flooding

Before people leave on their Eastern weekend trips, I want to make you aware of two major weather threats.

Flooding
This map indicates (in green shades) various flood watches and warnings. The maroon colors are flash flood warnings in effect at the moment (11am Friday):

The National Weather Service's rainfall amount forecast is calling for as much as eight additional inches in these areas between now and Wednesday morning.

Tornadoes
Our AccuWeather forecasting team and I believe there is a good chance of a tornado outbreak beginning Easter Sunday and lasting into the first of next week.

While it is too soon to sort out the exact details, we are confident enough this it is important for people in these areas to be "heads up" on the weather the first of next week.
