TAKE COVER IN WAKE CO. and RALEIGH. If this holds together, it may be a major tornado and it is likely "rain wrapped" meaning its approach will be difficult to observe.

UPDATE: 3:27PM. Reports of homes already destroyed by this tornado!

3:52pm EDT: Debris falling in west Raleigh. This may be the rain-wrapped tornado.

WRAL has lost power but still on the air. I saw a power flash (indicating tornado on ground) on this camera view moments ago (3:54pm).  Hook echo and debris ball on WRAL TV radar:
