Compare Forecast to Actual Tornado Reports

As of 8pm, the red dots represent the locations of tornadoes reported so far this evening. As I was posting this, a tornado was reported in the south St. Louis suburb of Arnold, MO, moving northeast.

Now, compare the location of the tornadoes so far to the forecast for significant tornadoes posted on this blog shortly before noon today.

A number of homes have been destroyed and one of the tornadoes was described as a mile wide. A photo of one of the tornadoes crossing Interstate 55 northeast of STL is here.

UPDATE: Here is video of one of the Illinois tornadoes.

UPDATE II:  Lots of great photos here.
