The Winter That Will Not End

While the Eastern storm rages, another major winter storm is coming onshore in California.

That storm will turn into the "cross country snowstorm."
Winter storm watches and warnings are already out for a large part of the west and central U.S. Pink = winter storm warning, blue = winter weather advisory, dark green = winter storm watch.

Temperatures will turn quite cold behind this next storm.

  1. Will this be Wichita's first major snow of the season?

  2. Last week's storm had 4-6 inches over most of the city of Wichita. I think this storm has the potential produce greater accumulations. If I had to make a preliminary accumulation forecast it would be 5 to 9 inches.

  3. Mike, I just started to do a weather blog for South Central Kansas. I am a High Schooler who would like to be a meteorologist when I get done with HS (only two more years). You should check it out.

  4. Michael,

I just read your blog and posted a comment. Keep up the good work. I don't know if it is possible for you to attend (over lunch hour) but this will be of great interest to a future meteorologist:
