The Insanity of COP26, The Global Warming Meeting

Billions spent on wind turbines that rarely generate

electricity in a reliable manner. 

The website Issues & Insights has an insightful piece on the international global warming meeting starting in Scotland. It is titled:

Perfect. 

The vast majority of the attendees are second level-politicians who go to hobnob with other second-level politicians. 

The United Nations Conference of Parties on ​​climate change, the 26th version of this long-running clown show, starts Oct. 31 and will run through Nov. 12. Media coverage will be both intense and obsequious; attendees, especially the ever-smug John Kerry, “special” climate envoy to the president, will speak in somber tones due to the seriousness at hand; warnings of impending doom will be issued; and absolutely nothing will be accomplished.

Correction: nothing useful or positive will be accomplished. They will spend huge amounts of our taxpayer money and find ways to diminish our freedom. 

For example, past meetings helped produce this.

China and Russia laugh at us being led around by stupid green policies (note: I'm in favor of decarbonizing energy through nuclear and hydro -- not unreliable and expensive wind and solar).

Dr. Cliff Mass of the University of Washington Department of Meteorology explains the global warming situation this way:

Of course these are often the same people who tell us we cannot take a single weather event, such as a cold snap or an unusually heavy snow, and extrapolate from that there is no man-made warming. They want man’s greenhouse gas emissions to be an existential crisis.

But they can’t have it no matter how much they want it.

“An existential threat is one that threatens the very existence of mankind. Something that is simply a challenge or an inconvenience is not an existential threat,” explains University of Washington atmospheric sciences professor Cliff Mass. “An existential threat must have the potential to undermine the very viability of human civilization.”

Mass believes “global warming is a serious problem” that will have “substantial impacts,” but he says “in no way does it seriously threaten our species or human civilization.”

“With reasonable mitigation and adaptation, mankind will continue to move forward – reducing poverty, living healthier lives, and stabilizing our population.”

For those who haven’t noticed, humanity has been enormously successful at adapting to, and in many cases, overcoming an environment that is hostile to its existence.

All of the recent over-the-top coverage of global warming is a coordinated effort by media in association with Big Climate's public relations arm (this is one of the lavishly funded PR groups, there are others) who are planting stories like this (for "the children," of course) in the run-up to the meeting. 

Barf! 

Of course, in the real world, children will not be able to see their pedestrians for two weeks because of this insanity (NHS = Great Britains health service). They don't want to inconvenience the VIP's like John Kerry by having to sit in traffic. 

The actual purpose of this gigantic unnecessary expenditure of greenhouses is to acquire more money and power by people who have rarely used their existing money and power for constructive purposes. 

So, when you read news coverage of the Scotland meeting (example, here), keep all of this in mind. Very little of what you hear about from the meeting is actually true and narrative-free.
